WATER, SEWER, AND TRASH

A Deposit is required for service of Water, Sewer, and Trash, which are billed by the City. Bills are mailed the first of each month and due by the 10th. City Hall is open Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.  For your convenience, a night deposit is located in the front of City Hall at 402 Court.
 

The City has mandatory trash service for all residential households. Trash containers shall be waterproof or trash bags. Trash container weight limit is 75 pounds. Trash containers shall be placed within 15 feet of the curb line or at the curb before 7 a.m. on the day of collection. There is a 6-bag limit. Special items not picked up with regular household trash are: yard waste, appliances, batteries, motor oil, paint cans, and hazardous materials. Savannah has a voluntary curbside recycling program. To participate and get your recycling schedule, contact City Hall at (816) 324-3315. Recycle bins will be delivered to your address on your regular recycle pick up date.
